SUBSTANCE: proposed method is used to form electron sleeve in relativistic magnetron due to injection of tubular beam into working zone of the latter and to accumulate charge in electron sleeve due to reflection of electrons between edge-type explosion- emission cathode brought out of anode unit and virtual cathode. In order to increase the number of electrons reflected in electron sleeve from virtual cathode in vicinity of its formation (when beam crosses boundary of drift spaces having different wave impedances), magnetic field built up due to dc field coils is additionally intensified by magnetic screens that function as magnetic leakage flux concentrators. EFFECT: increased frequency of generated pulses; enhanced efficiency due to reducing power of system feeding magnetic field coils. 3 cl, 2 dwg
