FIELD: rocket engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of operation of flying vehicle engine includes operations of positive reaction of silanes with nitrogen and/or nitrogen compounds at elevated temperatures in presence of oxidizer for hydrogen of silanes in combustion chamber. Engine for such vehicle is made as jet power plant. Nitrogen and oxidizer can be taken from terrestrial atmosphere, and there is no need of carrying corresponding oxidizer for silanes in flying vehicle (rocket). Silane oils are used mainly as silicon hydride compounds. EFFECT: increased efficiency. 14 cl, 2 dwg
