FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: facility to treat magnesium alloys by gases in process of flux-free preparation has bottles with gas, pressure regulator, metal tube covered with glass varnished cloth braiding with perforated gas distribution part is connected to cathode having form of metal rod and to metal tube with perforated gas distribution part which is anode. Holes in gas distribution part are covered by glass varnished cloth braiding leaving portion of surface of gas distribution part uncovered to let electric current with density not less than 0.4 A/sq.cm pass through it. Facility is fitted with bracket to fix cathode and metal tube with perforated gas distribution part. EFFECT: increased efficiency of refining and modifying of magnesium alloys in process of their preparation, production of alloys of higher quality, raised quality and reliability of casting. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
