The apparatus for dismantling doors, particularly from patient rooms in hospitals and homes for elderly people, comprises a mobile chassis (1) with withdrawable supports (5), a support frame (8), a guide rail (14) and a support rail (15). Devices are provided for tilting (22,23) and lifting (20,21) the door. The support rail at the lower end has a shoe (17) for engaging beneath the door and in the upper part has tongs (16) with jaws (16a) for securing and holding the door. The tongs jaws are releasable and tensionable by a threaded spindle.
