The method involves using communications devices on transport vehicles linking them to an unmanned control point and position data and information receivers on the vehicles. A vehicle is ordered by a user by entering a request via an input device that passes it to control point via a communications link. The control point selects a vehicle, computes an optimal schedule and transmits it to the vehicle and transmits authorization to the user. The method involves using communications devices on the transport vehicles (FZ) linking the vehicles to an unmanned central control point (LS) and position data and information receivers on the vehicles. A vehicle is ordered by a user by entering a transport request via an input device that passes it to the central control point via a communications link. The control point selects a vehicle, computes an optimal schedule for it and transmits this to the vehicle. The control center transmits ordering information and authorization data to the input device.
