Process for the production of beads or pellets from rice husk ash and rice husk pellets or pellets

Production of spheres or pellets from rice shell ash used as heat insulating material comprises pulverising the ash to =325 mesh, mixing the pulverised ash with a surface active substance (0.1-1.0 wt.%) and a binder (2-20 wt.%), forming spheres/pellets, drying, and heating to 800-1400 deg C. The spheres or pellets produced are also claimed and have the composition (in wt.%): 88.92 SiO2, 0.2-0.1 Al2O3, 0.1-1.5 Fe2O3, 0.4-0.5 CaO, 0.1-0.25 MgO, 1.02-1.36 K2O, 3.1-3.6 P2O5, and loss on ignition 2.1-3.9.
