The support system is for an information poster or advertising placard. It incorporates a nodal point (1) which consists of a plate with four sockets arranged in two pairs. The sockets in each pair are set at an angle of 45 degrees to each other, at 22.5 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the plate. The sockets accommodate flexible rods. The bottom two rods (3) have feet on their bottom ends, on which the assembly stands. The top two rods (2) are without feet. The rods may be retained in the sockets by pins (4,5) driven through side-bores.
