The asymmetric corrugated metal hose is separated along its largest diameter at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the hose. The wall thickness of the resultant annular end element is increased either by adding a welded ring or by squeezing together this element and the adjoining corrugation (6). A pressure carrying mesh (2) and a sleeve (3) are mounted on the corrugated metal hose, and the resultant assembly is joined by a weld seam (5) to the pipe end piece (4). An Independent claim is also included for a resultant welded assembly.
