A level-dependent transmitter(9) in the form of a float is installed in the fuel tank(15) and is kinematically connected to a shut-off component(3). A control cam(10) is rigidly connected to the float by a connecting element(11), and a sender(17) is connected to the shut-off component. The shut-off component is movable in the housing(1) in the axial direction against the pressure of a compression spring(7).
