The body (12) of the wooden wall element (10) comes in prefered C,U or H section and presents an elongated body to be positioned horizontaly or verticaly in the wall and with the horizontal legs (16,18) much shorter than the base element (14) between. A reinforcing member between the legs runs from one to the other leg and is fixed to the base element (14) and insulating material (24) is placed between the legs in addition to this. The legs (16,18) are tongued and/or grooved lengthways (20,22) and the main body (12) is faced in diffusive plates and is amenable to cutting into meter lengths.
