The socket has an accommodation chamber for electrical devices such as lights. sockets, terminals or similar elements of electrical installations with side walls (1), a bottom wall (2) and an open end wall on the opposite end from the bottom wall, whereby at least one side wall has an opening closed by a wall section (3) that can be broken out for a pipe (4) or coupling. The pipe or coupling can be hooked onto the socket and can be pivoted about the hooking point (5) from a pre-installation position into a desired mounting position in which the wall part is broken out by the pipe/coupling opening, which is inserted in sealed manner into the opening thus created
