White, biaxially-oriented film with a thickness of 1-500 microns and with a crystallizable thermoplastic as main component also contains UV stabilizer(S) and white pigment(s). An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of this white film by melt-compounding the crystallizable thermoplastic in an extruder with UV stabilizer(s) (UVS) and white pigment(s) (WP), extruding onto a cooling roller, biaxially orienting, fixing and rolling up.
