The detonation device has a voltage source (1), e.g. a battery, a safety switch (2) associated with the tool head and a release switch (3) which are connected in series and an electronic detonation circuit. This has a logic stage (4), providing a detonation pulse upon closure of the release switch after operation of the safety switch for supplying the operating voltage for the detonation circuit.
