A process and assembly measure the solubility of substances at given temperatures. The assembly has a glass cylinder which is open at the top and has a semi-hemispherical closed base. The lowest point of the closed hemispherical base is ground flat and rests on a copper disc. The face of the copper disc which is directed away from the glass has a temperature sensor and a temperature-error correction facility. The temperature correction uses a previously-established relationship between the temperature measured at the sensor and the actual fluid temperature in the test device.
