Magnetic field sensor with an additional feedback element to ensure sufficient magnetic field is generated to switch the detection circuit and that this auxiliary field is generated simultaneously with the change in external field. Sensor comprises coil (1), magnet (4) and two or more pulse wires (3) with different switching field strengths. A storage capacitor is connected to the coil via a diode and a feedback element is connected to the capacitor. The feedback element simultaneously produces an additional magnetic field in the same direction as the external magnetic field using the energy stored in the capacitor. The sum field comprises the outer magnetic field and the additional field and exceeds all further switching field strengths so that all impulse wires (3) are triggered simultaneously with a second voltage pulse measured and used to determine magnetic field.
