Oxidation color for coloring keratin fibers, especially human hair, contains developer component(s) and m-(N-aminoalkyl)-aminophenol derivative(s) (I) or a physiologically acceptable salt of (I) in a suitable medium, provided that, if tetraaminopyrimidine is used as developer component, the color contains other color precursor(s). Oxidation color for coloring keratin fibers, especially human hair, contains developer component(s) and m-(N-aminoalkyl)-aminophenol derivative(s) of formula (I) or a physiologically acceptable salt of (I) in a suitable medium, provided that, if tetraaminopyrimidine is used as developer component, the color contains other color precursor(s): R1R3 = H or 1-4 C (hydroxy)alkyl; or NR1R2 = an optionally substituted, saturated 5-6-membered heterocyclyl group optionally containing additional N or O atoms; R4 = H, 1-4 C alkyl or 3-8 C cycloalkyl; R5, R6 = H, halogen, 1-4 C (hydroxy)alkyl, 1-4 C aminoalkyl or 1-4 C alkoxy; n = 1-8.
