Tetrameric Fv antibody constructs (I) in which the variable heavy and light (Vh, Vl) domains of the individual monomers are linked through an amino acid (aa). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) monomers (II: single-chain Fv-1) for preparation of (I); (b) DNA (III) that encodes (II); (c) expression plasmid containing (III); and (d) preparation of (I) by expressing plasmids of (c) in a cell.
