Encapsulation of chemical or biological agents (I) involves adding (I), in the form of a solution or very fine suspension in a solvent, to previously prepared particles, so that (I) diffuse into the particle matrix and are retained after removal of the liquid. An Independent claim is included for particles for carrying out the process, which are spherical and have a diameter of 50-2000 micro m.
