A procedure for the wet-cleaning of carpet floor elements, especially carpet tiles (1), has the carpet floor elements brushed using a washing fluid and hoovered afterwards. The carpet floor elements that can be laid in detachable fashion are removed from the foundation and cleaned with the floor side downwards. Water is removed and subsequently an action with drying air takes place. The carpet floor elements are struck first with the floor side pointing downwards, then dry-brushed and hoovered. Subsequently they are wet-brushed and water is removed. After the water removal the carpet floor elements are turned. Subsequently, the floor pointing upwards is subjected with warm and then cold drying air.
