An inner turbine wheel (5) has a flow channel (7) in its jacketed running surface (10). An outer turbine wheel (6) is fastened to the inner one so that it is positioned over the flow channel. The energy-containing medium, e.g. steam, combustion gas, compressed air, oil, water, flows continuously through the nozzles (9) on opposite sides of the turbine, and vertically through both turbine wheels, e.g. at right angles to the axis in a spiral in direction of rotation.
