Switch contact arrangement of a low-voltage circuit breaker with main contacts, intermediate contacts and break contacts

A switch contact arrangement (5) of a low-voltage circuit breaker (1) has a switch contact arrangement (5) with a fixed contact group (7) and a movable contact group (10) interacting therewith. The contact groups (7, 10) have cooperating main contacts (20, 22) and cooperating intermediate contacts (21, 23) and tear-off contacts (26, 32). Furthermore, both contact groups (7, 10) are equipped with an arcing horn (25, 31) for transferring a switching arc into an arcing chamber (6). The break contacts are integrated in the arcing horns (25, 31). Only the main contacts are designed as contact pads, while the other contact points are formed by the busbars (3, 4) or arcing horns (25, 31). The switch contact arrangement (5) described is characterized by a simple design and by an increased mechanical and electrical life. Particularly short switching times are also achieved.
