The entry gap has movable stop and a fixed stop. The movable stop can be used to periodically vary the free gap width in a definable manner with the help of a drive. The fixed stop is a boundary for the gap on one side and the movable stop bounds the gap on the other side, whereby both stops lie approximately in the same plane. An Independent claim is also included for the use of an entry gap in a miniature spectrometer.
