Closed-circuit television monitoring system for rail carriage

The system includes a camera set monitoring the interior of a carriage, a monitor in each control point of the carriage for the display of video- and/or control signals, and an operating field for a manual switching of the video- and/or control signals to the monitor. An image memory is provided for recording the video signals of the camera set. At least one video control modem is connected with the monitor, the operating field, and the image memory, for transmitting video- and/or control signals over low frequency connection paths, and for an event-driven switching of the video- and/or control signals to the monitor.
