The end stage switch supplies the detonation voltage (UO) for the detonator (3) via a pair of controlled electronic switch elements (S1,S2) inserted in respective detonation lines (L1,L2). A diode (D1,D2) is connected in series with each controlled electronic switch element, for blocking a current in the opposite direction to the detonation current, to provide protection against detonation of the detonator by false voltages.
