The hydraulically damped bearing comprises an inner (4) and outer (10) tube with an elastomeric spring component (6) between them. This forms two chambers (14) which are filled with hydraulic fluid and linked to each other by a throttle channel (16). One or both of the chambers has a membrane (18) forming part of its wall which can be deformed downwards into a cavity (20). The novelty is that the hydraulic chambers are connected by a balancing channel (24) to a balancing chamber (26). This is closed on its outer side by a second membrane (28).
