The wheeled rowing trainer is propelled by a driver (1). The driver's hands apply a driving force to a pull rod (3), and the rod is connected via a cable pull (4), which passes over deflector pulleys (6a,b). The cable is connected to a chain (5), to convert the linear movement of the cable via a pinion (7) into a rotary movement. Cable and chain are returned into initial position by a resetting device (11), which is connected to a frame (9) and to the chain. The driver sits on a sliding seat (2), moveable relative to the frame, and steering is via foot rests.
