The method involves producing a microwave field through an antenna (12) connected with an oscillator (22), and directing the microwave field on the medium (18), whose fill level is to be determined. A signal correlating to the fill level is measured in at least one receiver (24). An Independent claim is provided for a corresponding fill level detection arrangement.
