The equipment includes control systems (5, 7) associated with drives for mold- and manipulator respectively. On opening the mold (4), the first control system (5) outputs a start signal to the second control system (7). On closing the mold (4) the second control system (7) outputs a start signal to the first control system (5). In each of these cases, the respective system inertia (Delta t1, Delta t2) is taken into consideration. Preferred features: System inertia is measured by the reaction interval (Delta t1, Delta t2) between sending the respective start signal, and the actual start of the corresponding reaction. The reaction time (Delta t1) for mold opening is subtracted from the start signal given by the first control system (5) to the second (7). The reaction time (Delta t2) for mold closure is subtracted from the start signal given by the second control system (7) to the first (5). In operating ejection components and core extraction components, the respective system inertia (Delta t) is taken into consideration. The plastics processing machine (2) is hydraulically-operated.
