The brushmaking machine feeds bristles through feed channels (6) on to a moving belt (9). This has notches (10) which hold the bristles as bundles while they are conveyed to a stuffing tool (11) which folds them into a U-shape and inserts them into the brush head (19). Guides (12) are fitted at the side of the belt between the end of the bristle feeds and the stuffing tool.
