The touring vehicle has a mounting(7) for sporting or leisure activity equipment and which by means of an extension mechanism(6) mounted stationary in a stowage space can be shifted between a stowed position where it is moved into the stowage space and a loading and unloading position where it is moved out of the stowage space. The movement of the extension mechanism and mounting may be carried out at least in part by a drive. The mounting may have holders(13) for securing a complete bicycle in its ready to ride state.
