摘要
The filter casing (1) contains filter material comprising a three-dimensional spun plastic yarn. Its interspaces can be populated with microorganisms. Preferred features: A pre-filter included, removes solid particles and sediments, all contained in a common casing. Flow approaching the pre-filter (3) passes through a perforated wall (4) of the filter casing. Channels (5a, 5b) connect the two filter chambers (2), with flow deflectors (7) producing two diametrally-opposite flow paths. Deflectors are built-in filter components extending parallel to main sides of the filter chamber. The connection channel contains no filter material. The filter casing is made of flexible sheets. That part of the sheet enclosing the filter chamber has an opening (10) which can be closed. A zipper- or velcro-type closure is used. The filter casing is held below the water surface, with the pump. The filter material comprises plastic strands with 40-300 connection points per cm3. The material is cylindrical, ellipsoidal, cubic, rectangular, tetrahedral or octahedral. It is a square or cube with edge length 1.5-5 cm. It is charged with nitrifying-, preferably denitrifying microorganisms. Cleaned water is extracted near or above the water surface. A variant based on the foregoing principles is also described.
