The apparatus includes a device for producing extracorporeal vibrations and a transfer element for coupling the vibrations to the muscle and tendon region of the body. Sensors detect the resonance and attenuation characteristics of the body part. The vibration emitter and at least two sensors are connected via damping elements (20) to a device, so that the two sensors are arranged symmetrically on a line on both sides of the application area at equal, fixed distances. The sensors adapt to the anatomical conditions when applied to the surfaces of the body and pick up vibrations emitted from the emitter.
