The apparatus for producing liquids with at least one gaseous or volatile anesthetic agent comprises a cylindrical container (1) with a movable piston (2) for addition of anesthetic agents without the hazard of dead volumes containing extraneous gases created in the apparatus. An Independent claim is also included for a method for using the proposed apparatus which involves introduction of the liquid and anesthetic agents into the cylinder and mixing of them by pumping them through the cylinder and the adjoining circulation line (6).
