The method is carried out so that at least one phase of the asynchronous motor (8) is controlled with such an AC voltage, that no power fed in to the intermediate circuit (3) of the frequency changer is stored in the intermediate circuit. The motor is controlled with such an AC voltage, that it feeds no power in the intermediate circuit of the frequency changer.
