The spindle drive has a threaded spindle (12), e.g. rotated by an electric setting motor (11) and a cooperating spindle nut (15) supported in a housing (14) via at least one peripheral elastic element, with the spindle attached to one of the relatively adjustable seat components, e.g. the seat squab (1) and the housing attached to the other seat component. The spindle nut has a coaxial pin (24) on one or both sides, projecting through the housing wall (22) for cooperating with an end stop (16,17) limiting the setting movement.
