An aspirator for removing liquid (F) from a flask, tube or dish (9) comprises a cylinder(17) and piston (16) unit which reduces the pressure and is connected via a pipe (4) to a tank (3). A suction pipe (5, 6) branches off the first pipe. A first valve (7) is positioned between the two sections (5, 6) of the suction pipe and a second valve (8) between the point where it branches off and the tank.
