An aspirator for removing liquid (F) from a flask, tube or dish (9) comprises a cylinder(17) and piston (16) unit which reduces the pressure and is connected via a pipe (4) to a tank (3). A suction pipe (5, 6) branches off the first pipe. A first valve (7) is positioned between the two sections (5, 6) of the suction pipe and a second valve (8) between the point where it branches off and the tank. An aspirator for removing liquid (F) from a flask, tube or dish (9) comprises a cylinder(17) and piston (16) unit which reduces the pressure and is connected via a pipe (4) to a tank (3). A suction pipe (5, 6) branches off the first pipe. A first valve (7) is positioned between the two sections (5, 6) of the suction pipe and a second valve (8) between the point where it branches off and the tank. The first valve is opened and the second closed to suck liquid from the dish. The first valve is closed and the second opened to allow liquid to flow in to the tank.
