The pneumatic setting drive has a setting motor (1) for operation of a setting device (2), with the pressure supply device for the setting motor incorporating at least one control valve (5), coupled to the setting motor via a test valve (12) and a pressure switch (13), used for function testing of the control valve and/or the pneumatic drive, by pneumatically separatng the setting motor from the pressure supply device and operation of the control valve and/or the pneumatic drive via the pressure switch and/or the test valve.. An Independent claim for a function testing method for a pneumatic setting drive is also included.
