The pulse radar object detection system has two sensors (1, 2) which locate objects in their fields of view (5, 8) overlap using triangulation and track them over time to calculate their speed and acceleration and allow the separation of real (12, 21) from apparent (11, 22) objects using a plausibility test with limits on speed and direction.
