Production of a metallic hollow body comprises perforating a steel sheet with undercuts (10); removing the sheet at separating lines (14,15); bending or folding the sheet at perforated bent lines (11,12,13) to produce a precursor form of the hollow body; fixing the precursor form; coating in an electrolytic galvanoplast bath and removing the fixing. Preferred Features: A metal or precious metal layer is deposited on the precursor form of the body in the galvanoplast bath. The sheet is approximately 0.1 mm thick. The hollow body is made of rubber, wood, sand, metal or silicone.
