The rotor has a number of magnets, a short circuit ring and a rotor shaft that turns with the rotor (10). The rotor has a bearer (14) mounted on the rotor shaft (12) to rotate with it with apertures (24) in which the magnets lie and that carries the short circuit ring. The bearer has spring elements (32,34) that press against the magnets axially and/or peripherally and hold them without play in the apertures.
