Process for the in-situ monitoring of mineral seals comprises measuring the impedance over the region of 5 MHz up to 1 mHz on electrodes inserted, screwed or embedded into the seals and determining the amount by applying the impedance, admittance, modulus, angle of phase shift or another frequency-dependent parameter which corresponds to the electrical volume of the mineral material and thus the type and the periphery of the chemical material charge into the mineral seal.
