The flap or window (7) in the roof-space is automatically opened by means of a container (1) filled with a plastic expansion medium (3) and oil (2), a cylinder (5) filled with oil, and a metal rod (6) joined to it. The container filled with oil and an expansion medium is connected with the oil-filled cylinder by a pressure-resistant tube (4). The cylinder holder (8) has a groove (9) providing clearance for the cylinder should the flap/window be closed and the room temperature drops further.
