The electronic device has a housing (1) containing a number of microwave components (20,30) mounted on one housing wall (15) via positioning means, defining their position and relative alignment with an accuracy in the micrometer range. The positioning means are provided by an adhesive layer (3) applied to the housing wall and a foil pattern (4) secured to the latter, having locating openings for the microwave components, which slot into the openings and are secured via the adhesive layer. An Independent claim for a microwave component mounting method is also included.
