The method involves evaluating the real image of a hologram of an observed object that is created using pulsed holography, for medical purposes. A two-dimensional projection plane may be variably placed into the real image-volume of the hologram. The two-dimensional projections of the three-dimensional image volume occurring in the projection plane are digitized using a suitable technique. A sufficient number of different two-dimensional projections are used to reconstruct a three-dimensional computer model of the observed object.
