The screw tool a drive shaft (2, 15) freely rotating in one or other direction relative to a handle (1) by means of a freewheel lock (4, 5) operated by a switch (3). There is also a motor (23) to provide a rotary drive for the drive shaft, turning it in the freewheeling direction. The direction of rotation of the motor can be changed by the operation of the switch.
