The standing legs (2, 3, 4, 5) form two groups (11, 12) either side of a support device (9). An upper swivel connector (13,14) and a lower swivel connector (15, 16) parallel at a distance therefrom are set between each leg group and the support device and are swivel connected by parallel articulated axles forming an articulated parallelogram on one side to the leg group and on the other side to the support device so that the apparatus such as mini crane can be vertically adjusted whilst retaining its alignment relative to the leg groups and by changing the spacing between same. This spacing between the leg groups is then fixed by a locking device.
