The filter has a bundle of precipitation electrodes (2) that is charged positively or negatively and denatured. Air is passed through the bundle and subjected to positively or negatively charged ions by spray electrodes (1a,1b) with and against the air flow. The arrangement is contained within an insulated housing (3).
