The heat exchanger (1) has spiral elements (3) for at least two media (A,B). Each spiral element is formed with a partly slotted central tube (4) with an end-facing entry chamber and an exit chamber with an end-facing exit. A multichannel profile (5) is sealingly connected to the slot in the central tube and curves around the central tube in a spiral. The multichannel profile has a wedge-shaped sealed end section at a deflector area. The width of the multichannel profile is a multiple of its height.
