The motor winch has an electric or hydraulic motor (11) arranged below deck to apply tension to a rope, which is wound about a winch drum. The rope is guided through a fixed holder nose in a rotating clamp device (10). The winch may be operated mechanically using a plug-in winch crank from above. The motor drives the drum through a transmission gear and sits inside the winch in a support body, which also supports the rotating drum.
