The suspension device for transporting car bodywork (1) has support blocks (12) fitted with locking bolts (14) with an eccentric locking head (15) which is rotated inside a recess (16) in the bodywork to fasten it to the support. A spring-loaded bolt (22) is mounted in a recess in the support block and is presses down by the eccentric head . If the bodywork is not correctly positioned, the bolt prevents locking and a warning signal is generated and/or the transporter is switched off.
